Wayfinding in Ebbsfleet
Wayfinding should be incorporated into the pubic realm projects to support the delivery of the Ebbsfleet Wayfinding Strategy. Use the guidance below to align your project.
1. Identify locations for wayfinding furniture
Use the map below to establish indicative locations for wayfinding furniture within your scheme. The map has been produced based on best practice approach to supporting legible wayfinding, however the precise final locations for wayfinding furniture will need to be discussed with EDC’s planning team, and may also require active engagement with relevant stakeholders, including neighbouring Town and Parish Councils.
2. Decide on the type of wayfinding furniture required
The objective is to ensure appropriate signage and wayfinding information is incorporated into the public realm in appropriate locations to support walking, cycling and public transport, without cluttering the street. A suite of wayfinding furniture has been developed for use in public realm projects. The carousel below sets out detailed information about the design, type of information and required servicing for each type of wayfinding furniture within the Ebbsfleet suite.
